9:00 a.m. The Mass Equal Pay Act has “Gone Live,” and it’s Just One Piece of the Changing Pay Equity Puzzle. What Do We Do Now? (Mickey Silberman, Esq., Fortney & Scott, LLC)
The rules of Pay Equity are changing, fast. MEPA’s effective date was July 1st and we are quickly seeing claims under the new law. Other states also are enacting new, aggressive laws to attack the “pay gap” and employees grow more aware of pay equity and are more comfortable raising perceived issues of unequal pay with you . . . and others like unions, EEOC, OFCCP and plaintiff’s counsel. So how do we adapt and get ahead of the curve? How do we protect our organizations? Join us to learn what you need to know, and do, now.
About the presenter: Mickey Silberman Esq. will be our Guest Speaker. Mickey is a Shareholder with Fortney & Scott, LLC and Chair of the firm’s Affirmative Action & Pay Equity Practice Group. Mickey is a nationally recognized expert and public speaker on affirmative action, OFCCP, pay equity and systemic pay discrimination. For more than 22 years Mickey has helped employers navigate through the tricky world of EEO compliance and, as it grows more challenging, he helps employers get pay equity “right.”
