Our History

The New England Industry Liaison Group was established in 2001, when many new executives transferred to the New England area. They realized the value of membership and networking in an ILG, and invited many companies to an initial meeting. The NEILG has been growing ever since with new members joining all the time to experience the benefits of attending events and networking with a group of professionals focused on ensuring the compliance with affirmative action.

The Start of the ILGs

Industry Liaison Group (ILG) is a concept, spawned by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) programs in the early 1980’s to encourage open communication between industry and the OFCCP. The objectives have expanded since the ILG’s beginnings to include partnerships with other government agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and state and local agencies. Local ILGs are found in every Department of Labor (DOL) region.

What is the National Industry Liaison Group (NILG)?
